The Alola League winner wil get to have an exhibition match with Royal Mask. Ash vs Royal Mask has been foreshadowed since the beginning. Even the opening teases Torracat fighting Incineroar. Plus Ash is the one who gave child Kukui the idea to build the league so it would make sense for them to battle at the end. Even if he loses against RM, he'll still win the leauge.

When Kukui is looking over the league in the OP you see Ash vs Royal Mask. So it will 100% happen. Plus at the start of the anime their battle got interrupted before it started
