98.84% circa 2001 according to wikipedia and most christian town in all of england. Its where scoucers (liverpool residents) and mancs (Manchester) go to escape their immigrant filled towncentres which are orders of magnitude nicer than ours.
The central town square consists of 8 benches, 4 of which are constantly occupied by creatures known only as "Townies". A subculture of various rejects, including emos and scene kids, generic skater kids, stoners, an 20somethings looking to score some 15yo puss through being legally allowed to buy cigarettes and alcohol. Across from a church and what used to be a poundland (dollar store), just down the street from a McD's, 2 pound bakeries and a greggs all along 1 road because you can never have enough sausage rolls.
Our only piece of culture is a glass museum and a big ass hill.
If you wish to study further, i recommend "2 pints of lager and a packet of crisp" a show about Runcorn, a town a 20 minute drive from st helens, which my dad heavily related to when i was wee lad.
