Night Shade, super OP when his level is half-third of your HP
Spite, in case you felt like spamming strong moves
Hypnosis on previous mons and a ridiculous accuracy in gen 2
Curse on previos mons means if your guy isn’t fresh to the fight, he’s already dead in one or two turns before scratching Gengar the tank
Then there’s Dream Eater which in at least gen 2 can hit even normal types
God i half assed it the first time and I almost dropped Gengar because he spammed spite. But ultimately lost. I had a full team of guys ten levels lower and honestly it was the best fight in Johto. Kingdra is a close second
