I don't think all starters are safe. Every starter from every region alone already take up 63 Dex slots. If you want to add Kantomons to that, then you probably already have halve the Dex filled. That plus what we already have seen and new Galarmons. Yeah, no. I don't think every starter is safe. Least of all Torterra. Which sucks because my first playtrough Torterra happened to be Adamant and i bottlecapped and EV trained it ;_;

Give him Shell Smash. It is thematic gives him exactly what he needs.

Grass/ground/rock is really good coverage but he isn't fast enough nor does he hit hard enough.

If you wanna make him broken, give him Shell Smash and Simple as an ability

Give Grass types a resistance to Fairy moves.

Rearrange his base stat total to have more hp and better defenses/special defense at the cost of speed and special attack.

Expand his movepool too I guess, but unnecessary after those changes imo.

Give him ingrain
more bulk overall both Sp. Def, Def, and HP, Remove some speed if have to. Now you have a Trick Room mememon
New abilites: Moxie, Thick Fat, Solid Rock, or Storm Drain. I think these could all make for fun alt abilities.
Or just give it Shell Smash.

I was going to pick chimchar, but my friend said their was an event and he would pick it up for me, (it
was Regigigas) It turned out he needed to start over on the game for whatever reason to receive it, I just bought it so no problem, he picked the turtle.
I was a little disappointed that I got him, but I pressed on, Torterra is the reason I only pick grass starters now, I never expected to love him as much as I do now.
