Nobody complained when Let's Go cut Pokemon from the Pokedex. Why should SwSh be any different?

The only complaint one could have about cut Pokémon from LGPE is that they could’ve included cross gen evos like all the eevees, electivire, crobat, pichu, etc.

Anyone expecting Pokémon outside of existing families should get fucking sterilized. The games had a distinct purpose.

If you're trying to let the picture speak for you, then subtract RBGY, GSC, and HGSS because the latter 2 aren't optional to be divorced from Kanto's region and the former is the first exposure to Kanto so it doesn't count, i.e. "again".

It was a genone nostalgia based remake, so only having Kantomons was fine. Lots of people considered it to be a side game, regardless of what GF claimed, so it didn't need to have all the features of a core game. Plus, it was their first Switch game so people cut them some slack.

None of those reasons apply to SS.

Let's Go was a cute, dopey little spinoff title for a much more casual audience. I played it and had a good time, but I never for a moment thought it was the "next gen". Let's Go was meant to be an appetizer, not a meal. If your waiter brought you another loaf of bread and said "bon appetite" you'd be pretty fucking underwhelmed.

We assumed he meant from a tech perspective, not that he was gonna fucking Thanos the previous 20 years of Pokemon. A starting point refers to a POINT for a new player to START. It does not refer to a reboot of the franchise. Try to keep in mind here that for the last twenty years people have been building up collections which are now largely useless. Would you be eager to start another collection?

I am. I expected some sort of ambition from Game Freak. Instead, we got fucking around with the bare minimum effort, a few cool features and an unfinished, rushed game just in time for Christmas. Pokemon is better than this.

I assumed the game was going to be a spin off series focused on compatabilty with Go. So it only being limited to Kanto pokemon was understandable. Back when the game was being made Kanto was probably the only gen PoGo had.
Though it still enrages me that Game Freak cuts out the evolutions for kanto mons. Like I can get not including the Sinnoh evos... though I think they should be there. But you guys gave onix an evo in the NEXT GEN!
Just let us make it not trash.... please.
They even included alolan forms and megas....
But how dare we want to use a Crobat.

this is a "mainline" game, a natural evolution. nobody expected anything out of legpiss, swprd and shield is the equivalent of wearing the same leg piss stained pants to work the next day and expecting people not to give you funny looks
