I've been replaying everything I could recently and BW2 sucked, even compared to BW.
I almost didn't finish it cause I got so bored. It's not all that much harder, the plot is forced and rushed compared to the buildup of BW, and I felt the pokemon selection was lacking (partly due to how you can't even breed until post-game meaning you are stuck using the already evolved wild mons you catch and can't get yourself a real personal team).
People shit on how easy, cutscene filled and linear SM is, but they're the ones I felt were the most memorable. I had no trouble getting myself a team of 6 with a good mix of old and new that I liked (even swapped out a few as things went on which I usually don't do) and I remember way more areas from the games cause of how well they made the different areas stand out WITH those linear designs.
