Technically that's what makes it more like they're the same.

The difference is Game Freak is about 10 years behind them.

After Gen 8 and 9 relatively fail, they'll probably actually start listening for Gen 10 like ST did so as to prevent utter collapse when they realize they've screwed themselves and no one really wants their other titles.

Sonic's autistic fanbase wants his friends to be playable again and are sick of the gameplay style the games have been using since Colors (A nearly 10 year old game), and nostalgia fags want Adventure 3. In what way is Sonic Team listening to Sonic fans when they won't do either of those things?

Sonic Forces is arguably on the same level as Sonic 06. Worst GF has done recently that's actually released is make a shitty postgame for Gen 7, but if you wanna go farther you can include the national dex cut. Still doesn't compare to Sonic Team.

I played a little bit of Forces and at worst it's just mediocre. I swear people who say "X is on the same level of Sonic 06" have never actually played Sonic 06 and just know it's bad. The game is a broken, ugly, piece of garbage with load screens out the ass, and a fuckload of gltiches. Also Sonic Team at least patched some of Forces glitches.
