Decent actually, the censorship in the official releases is mild and as far as translation goes it's fine. Plus the original flipped releases for the early volumes are almost completely uncensored if your library has the older copies.

Friendly reminder that the manga quickly goes to shit after the first couple arcs with "muh dexholders" BS, and nonsensical fantasy elements. That being said I do think the original arcs capture the spirit of the original game more that the anime.

That's not the message the games send at all

The series is literally called Pokemon, they're the focus and are just as much characters as the humans are.
