I think a big problem many people have this gen already begins with box art. Black and White are very dull colors to base a gen on, especially from a series known for being very vibrant and colorful. So when you people see this at least myself gets turned off by this. This also goes for pokemon designs, the characters clothes, the region itself and the menus of the game with very big use of color black and dark color tones.

I know the plot is more serious and the legendaries are black and white but even in the more relaxed areas you still get black and dark colors showed in your face. I get it's pokemon Black and White but people like pokemon for being colorful, vibrant and happy so when you get black and grey colors showed in my face it gets tiresome. The games does a lot of things right, but an important thing than people probably don't think about is this is a colorful series and that's why Black and White and gen 5 as a whole turns a lot people off and not just because of genwunners
