>>39148942Kinda boring in many parts. Has some nice choices, but overall it's just another retread through Kanto, and it's not like I didn't do that 4 times previously.
My biggest gripe about Lets Go is that is barely an incentive for battling. Not only did they greatly decrease the amount of experience you get from battles, you also get less money due to the lack of items like Amulet Coin. It makes most battles feel like a slog.
I'm also iffy on the fact that the "Amie/Refresh boosts" are mandatory since they are tied to friendship. The amount of handholding got annoying as well, but luckly, you can opt out on most of that.
I do like the concept of the capture system and that they gave you incentives to catch a billion Ratattas. But the new capture mechanics also point out a major flaw. The region of Kanto was designed as a typical JRPG, with caves being being dangerous if you were unprepared. With wild battles being how they are and trainers overall having less Pokemon, these places just don't feel dangerous.
I do like how I can now play the games again with one hand. Just laying in my bed using the right joycon feels nice.
It's still Pokemon so you'll probably enjoy it if you enjoyed most of the other games. Not worth $60. Maybe worth $40.
