So why don't they just make what's clearly the more masculine or feminine evolutions and make them specifically to one gender like glalie or gardevoir instead of unisex.

They already do this with other pokemon

Would the games just implode if someone transferred a pokemon they caught in an older game that was female but now determined to be male specific?
