Imagine a fight, where you choose your support pokemon that can't attack but uses statuses to help your main Pokemon.
Utilizing forgotten strategies like Trick Room or all these moves no one ever use (Eerie Impulse, Ion Deluge etc.), this could be nice

I’m not exactly disagreeing, but five Pokémon can be on the screen for raid battles, including two big ones, so I think they should be able to do it if they wanted.

Gamefreak tried to make the next gameplay staple like 'Double Battles'. Issue is they didn't actually implement them into the game as much as Double Battles were. They're forgettable side content that is missable.
