It's not, though. Oricorio is only noteworthy for its Sensu Form being the only Ghost/Flying that is not in the Drifloon family. Understandably, Oricorio can't learn any move of their primary STAB type, so they are stuck with Revelation Dance which is Normal-type.

ripping people who underestimate it to shreds
oriocorio isn't super great, and is straight up garbage in singles, but in the hands of a good player, if someone brushes it off as a non-threat because "lol stupid gimmick mon" they can easily get bodied

here's my team
i'm not the greatest team builder, so if anyone has suggestions, particularly replacements for Empoleon and Rhyperior, I would appreciate it

Cool as shit.
I'd replace Volcarona's Fire Blast with Heat Wave, but I can see why you chose Fire Blast.
Also just be careful of Petal Dance. That shit gets pretty unruly in Doubles.

Sure I guess, but you were going to run a spinner or a defogger either way

It's STAB combos are pretty decent. They don't cover the blind spots of each other very well but it's not redundant coverage.
