The European survey straight up says that it mostly only wants the opinions of kids between the ages of 7-15. And yet they claim they care about long term fans.

As if the kid friendly round shaped new Pokémon designs wasn't telling already.
Game Freak wants the older generation out, but the majority of kids aged 5 - 12 don't even own a Switch yet because their parents would rather buy them a 100$ smartphone with a free to play Pokémon game or let them play on their own over buying a $300 easily breakable console + $60 Pokémon game. Only gamer parents or those that used to play games themselves will buy their kids that aren't teens a console, the majority of other parents won't.

That doesn't explain the KANTOOOO shilling. Chidren are assured but they're dumping big bucks in getting 20 somethings who knew about Pokemon in the early 2000s as well, otherwise we wouldn't be stuck with shit like team Rainbow Rocket.

Kids aged 5 - 11 are not 2000s kids, they're literally 2010s kids and hardly any of them know the difference between regions because Pokémon Go has gotten Pokémon up to Gen 3 by the time they can read anything.
The Kanto shilling is literally for the kids aged 12 and up, which by Gen 9 won't be their target audience anymore.
