Pokemon are not being cut from Pokemon Sword and Sword. The iterativeness of each game is a fiction created by the Pokemon fandom and one that GameFreak isn't beholden to. Meaning, each new game is its own product, and does not have to include every previous feature (incl. Pokemon) just because you feel you are entitled to them as a long-time consumer of the franchise. Indeed, this is especially relevant because SwSh is on a new system where not every Pokemon is implemented in full, and so even less than otherwise are they being cut. Yes, Pokemon are being omitted. Yes, there is precedent for at least making every Pokemon in some way accessible. And yes it is okay to be disappointed in this. But to say that they're being cut and especially to use this to direct the discourse on the matter is either ignorant or negligent and only distorts the general conversation.
