The fact that Sun and Moon has impressive animation scattered throughout despite being a series made for a demographic that won't necessarily notice or appreciate it makes it more admirable than previous Pokémon anime series that didn't even have that. Yes, XY was a major jump up from BW, which was a jump up from DP, which was a jump up from AG, etc. But SM is a jump up from XY in terms of production and it produces more consistently impressive cuts on average than your typical seasonal series WHILE being an ongoing indefinite series without breaks. That is impressive.
