Bosses can wipe your party in online coop if poorly coordinated.

Story missions are easy as long as you have the right level, but you won't level fast enough to keep up with the recommended level for each mission, specially if you are going for 3 stars on each one.

Not really. There is no such thing as a "f2p" option with actual casino gambling. The instant you start doing it you are already giving up money in hopes for something better. Just engaging in the activity already represents a risk. With a gacha you can go the entire game's lifespan without spending a single cent, and in fact that's the case for most people.

Of course once you get to the point of addiction then yes, they are very similar. But the difference is what has to happen on your way there, assuming you ever get there.
