He's not as overly centralizing as he used to be, and he's arguably not even the best blue mage anymore (ignoring Legendary Azura, who's good for every reason aside from her ability to attack things, Ophilia is an absolute monster who can basically one shot almost the entire meta), but he's still a F2P staple and an incredibly powerful unit. Still, powercreep has caught up to him.

Powercreep's a bitch, and not even he was safe from it. He's been more or less phased out in favor of other blue mages like OPhelia and Legendary Azura, but he's still got his uses. He's also able to be +10'd a lot easier than the others since you can get him at any rarity, so he has that over the others.

He doesn't have the weaknesses to all the anti-dragon and anti-armor tomes though. He can also run the shield in S slot that negates his flier weaknesses, alongside flier support teammates and he can have more mobility than fae easily with potentially higher stats. He's not better than Fae by any means, but in certain situations he can outperform her
