The middle bit with Grovyle and Dusknoir is arguably better than RT's story but it's not enough to save it. I beat the game once when I was young but replaying it now was painful and I just couldn't bring myself to do it again. It's not a bad game but I feel it pales in comparison gameplay and story wise to the first games, save the Groyvle/Dusknoir bit.
Which is a shame because I can't have gen 4 pokemon in the game but it's rather impressive that an old GBA spinoff has aged so well.
