Remember guys, this game is going to make money somehow. They claim all the characters are going to be met as you progress through the story, but I am betting they will have special/alternate versions of the characters where they have different Pokémon or designs.
Like "FRLG Red" where he uses a Pikachu, or "LGPE Red" where he uses Venusaur. Probably most Legends and Mythicals will be released this way too. These will be where the money is made.

I'm willing to bet Dawn is going to show up with Shaymin or Giratina, it's silly to think they wont have legendaries in the game, I highly doubt they're going to keep hero characters only having starters. Hell Blue having Pigeot is proof of that.
