All three are good. Chikorita feels a bit underdesigned and Fennekin suffers a bit from big head syndrome like the other Gen 6 starters. Overall Popplio is my personal favourite.
>2nd stage
Braixen has a great concept and design, Brionne mixes elements from the rest of the line well without being an exact middle ground between Primarina and Popplio and Bayleef is fine as it is, a cooler version of Chikorita. It's interesting because they have completely different philosophies on how a middle stage should be done, but all three work well in the end.
>3rd stage
Most feminine lines seem to have trouble with these. Primarina is pretty great, but Meganium and Delphox are so boring and easy to forget about in favor of their previous stages.
