Just don't buy sword/shield

You all know in like 1-2 years they're just going to release super sword and shield and promote being able to have all of your pokemon in one game as the big NEW feature

honestly the "they're going to add in the whole national dex as a cynical cash grab!" idea is just another form of coping, the second versions will have some stupid gimmick but it won't be the national dex, it'll be something much simpler and more insulting to the consumer.

No, it won't because Masuda said up front that this was a global policy change moving forward.

NO game will have the national Dex of Pokémon available moving forward, regional only.

USUM is by far the best Pokemon game on the 3DS. It's got a nice, big regional dex, an actual post-game, and dumb shit like stickers and a unique pikachu with surf for playing the surfing game on all islands. Plenty of quality of life additions too.
Too bad all of the soul USUM had will be gone in SwSh.
