So let me get this straight, every game, you guys start up the game, transfer over some level 99 blaziken, Slaking, snorlax etc etc from gen 3 and play though the entire game with that instead of actually playing normally and catching new pokemon and using them?
That wouldn't even be possible because of the badge level obedience restriction. Unless you play the whole game with your 15 year old pokemon not listening to you. So in the end you're forced to catch and use new pokemon throughtout the game, and then by endgame you have a whole new team full of pokemon to use and boxes of pokemon caught.
