It's the last move Muk learns, it's the last move Weezing learns, and the last fucking move Jumpluff learns. They really couldn't give them

I mean... Can you not read? It does exactly what it says on the tin and fast or bulky Pokémon in particular can make decent use of it.

If you know you're going to be killed shortly anyway, might as well sacrifice them for a gain.

You'll either force a switch giving you momentum or they'll be gimped. Win win for a Pokémon that was about to die anyway.

It's a lategame move you might use when you are on critical HP to kneecap an enemy sweeper or when he can no longer switch to remove the debuffs.

It's not particularly good since it has very restrictive uses and you rarely will find a space to carry it but that's it's purpose. I wonder if it sees more use in doubles than in singles.

You can easily gain an advantage by using it, the next Pokemon can get a free set-up because your opponent's Pokemon is either too weak to finish you off, or they're forced to switch out.

It's useful in doubles to do some annoying shit, look up sturdy shedinja, this can be used to help secure you don't die before it's set up.
