The series is doomed because this fuckwit doesn't give a shit and would sooner have resources redirected to a bog standard jrpg that they don't even have a fucking name for. All I can really say is if you really want to buy it anyway because pokemon but still want to see a change in the series, buy it used so that gamefreak and nintendo don't get your money.
