They're inevitable since there is a huge demand from fans. Most people who played the sinnoh games in their childhood are in their 20s and have huge nostalgia for them.

GF is going to make them because of how profitable they will be, and they are going to suck.

ten years ago when hgss released i remember thinking "wow, surely sinnoh in ten years is going to look amazing, just like battle revolution but with an expansive realized world, new cool features and following pokemon!"
now i just expect something akin to xy in terms of graphics and features. yikes. Sinnoh was my childhood and I will unironically be really offended when they shit out its' excuse of a remake and everyone buys it to spite me.

am I the only person who never expected pokemon to eventually turn into some grand-scale epic open-world adventure? every game pretty much conforms to the same blueprint, they've never shown any signs of moving away from that format either. Not saying it wouldn't be great to have a large scale pokemon game like that, but come on, let's manage our expectations here.

It's effectively going to be Connecting cave from XY, but with a blocked wall an NPC will warp you to later. From there, there's just going to be a snowy path spiraling up to the peak

I never expected Open World, but I did expect the grand scale. The games always felt like they were supposed to just be a small representation of a much larger world. But instead of delivering on that vision, we get Let's Go with 3D game boy maps.
