The ultimate gen 2 experience, made for replayability. It even add new content and areas. OC trainer doesn't bother me except from Elite Four. I wish Emerald would get one to, I really wish every gen got this open world style

>wide range of starters
>you can change music in the options

Cons:

Just press Select on the one you want to walk with. That's another reason why it's better than HGSS's walking, you can walk with a pokemon even if it's not the first in your party.

Crystal/ HGSS had the best Pokemon story because it was just enough to interest you while not enough to slow the game to a crawl. Throughout playing Crystal Clear I kept thinking to myself "Is this all?". Ignoring the cool starter mechanics, you're really better off saving yourself the trouble of patching and just playing HGSS

I never said fighting them was bad, but stopping the player from progressing when it shouldn't affect the town across the town sucked. And even then it was disappointing when the big bad has such an awful team.

There's something cathartic about rocket's desperation in gen II. They wen't from controlling casinos and a gym to begging their old leader to come back over radio because they'd fallen so far.They don't want to destroy the world, they just want their old boss back so the glory days could return.

there was a scammer that figured how to do imported models in Smash 64 and ran off after people exposed him
but thanks to The_Smashfather and the people of N64 Vault, people figure how to do that+custom stages and movesets
