I've got a seven year old rig that's not a gaming PC and it can run both games fine but has issues in a few areas. Colosseum runs fine everywhere but has fps drops in The Under, The Shadow Pokemon Lab and has a few hiccups in the outside MT battle and the purification stone. Gale of Darkness on the other hand about half the area's in the game cut the fps in half. The Agate city pokemart for some reason is a death trap and the Purification stone takes like 2 mins to work.
Bought a much more modern gaming PC last year and the games run absolutely flawlessly. Hardware makes a huge difference.
