>>39203797I have a softspot for gen 2 for introducing my absolute favorite pokemon in the series that has stayed my favorite for nearly twenty years now, though overall I do think it's a decent roster of pokemon. There's a few cases where I feel some pokemon were really boring (Noctowl and Stantler), the evolutions are much worse then the first form (Cyndaquil and Chinchou), or feel the beta version of the pokemon was much cooler (Girafarig) though overall there's a lot of great stuff.
Also maybe this is just me but I feel that if Johto excels in any category its having a lot of really damn cute pokemon. Wooper, Swinub, Spinarak, Murkrow, Misdreavus, Yanma, Phnapy, there's just so many really cute pokemon in Johto.
