For years now life has been shit and I've been trying to fill the void with games and all sorts of things but at the end of the day I would always turn back to pokemon. But with my greatest escape turning into shit little by little and now the final nail in the coffin was put in SWSH I just don't know what to do anymore I don't have the drive to move on.
How are you coping /vp/?

kill yourself, loser. If you're that reliant on pokemon to keep you happy, you'd be disappointed but still looking forward to sword and shield. You'll still have a new region and new pokemon with new stories and new NPCs to entertain you.

If Pokemon really is your go-to coping mechanism than honestly you'll be fine. Sw/Sh looks like dog shit but at the end of the day we all know it'll be a pretty standard Pokemon game. Catch new mons, do gym, get badge, kill bad guy, beat champion, etc.

Genuinely don't understand why this is even a complaint. The PS2 era of Megami Tensei was basically the peak of that franchise and it was all reused assets.

dude leave op alone,, effort might be the wrong word but gamefreak has shifted their focus to where the money is and that is a pokemon go audience that is much easier to cater to, esp if this person like was using pokemon to cope it makes total sense that those changes could really feel painful,, especially when they're really engaged in 4chan culture where even if stuff was good ppl are just angry and negative and fatalistic

Right, and everything else that the games have added are shit and blah blah blah, kys, you aren't saying anything that hasn't been said a million times already. You aren't a pokemon fan, you're just a whiny bitch that wants to complain because that's what everyone else is doing. Wild area looks awesome. Gym battles look exciting. NPCs are fantastic. The region is already looking beautiful when you aren't shilling the same image of one lame tree.

Given the amount of money they have, the graphics are wholly unacceptable. Period. It literally just looks like an upscaled 3DS game.

I'm not depressed or anything but I do worry that my mental state will only go downhill. Sometimes when I'm lost in thought I feel like I'm a robot when it comes to emotions. Honestly, unless it's something really deep and emotional (family related issues) that's when I feel sad, but all I got left is just hate, "I hate this, I hate that" and honestly it doesn't feel like I'm going towards a healthy lifestyle if I continue to have this sort of mentality. When I'm with friends, I feel fine, but with family? Im kind of just closed off to them, with the exception of my brother who I hate at times but we can be cool, but I spend less time with my mom and such. I don't know, it doesn't seem healthy to me
