What do defenders get out of campaigning against the national dex? I could understand if we had actually seen amazing new animations and graphics, but we haven't and with GameFreak's track record we won't. It's not even just not wanting the national dex, it's refusing to understand that this is something that can be patched in. The National Dex has never been available until post-game or post-bank, so I don't understand this whole narrative of "You want to steamroll the game/use the same pokemon." I'm not trying to insult anyone here or start a fight, I'm genuinely curious as to why you don't want the most out of these games that you are most likely paying for. And for those people who claim they don't care about the national dex I ask the same, why wouldn't you want the best possible product?

And don't bring up balance, because region markers have existed since Gen 6 to keep older Pokémon out of competitive.
