Playing Soul Silver for the first time, and the copy I got didn't come with the walker.

I have 6. Changing the shitty default battery to a new one is very easy. Some Pokemon can only be gotten from it so it's fun to drop one in my pocket when I start up a new game.

Unless you are autistic and check it and play for items and pokemon after 10000 or 12000 steps, or the steps you need to unlock the good crap, then it isn't very useful.
It gives you a few tms, dive balls and some sinnoh and hoenn pokemon that aren't hard to get if you have those games, also a few rare berries.
I mostly use it to level low level pokes and collect dive balls and big pearls in the beach course.
