More importantly, Dark types get an equivalent to Earthquake, which is going to make Fairy types even more important to have

Basically this.
Dark doesn't get much of a buff at all, Knock Off is already pretty good, and while Ghost is important to hit, Psychic kind of isn't.
It DOES mean that Faries are slightly more important, since being able to resist the stronger STAB of things like Bisharp and 'Tar is important, and nobody fucking uses Fighting types.
So, even harder Fairy/Steel metagame. Yay.
