No, Maison is better. Tower is the main attraction of Battle Frontier, the rest is gimmicky bloat. Maison is a refined Tower.

I've never actually played the Battle Frontier. I'm replaying through the entire series now, since I didn't play all the games or do the post-game in all of them. I'm wondering if it's worth going through Emerald? I'll already play through Hoenn anyway in ORAS, and the Battle Frontier is also available in Platinum and HGSS (As far as I know), so is an Emerald playthrough still worth it?

I recently replayed gen 3, and I don't really think the Battle Frontier is worth it. Emerald isn't all that different from Ruby and Sapphire anyways.

They could've simply just changed the Maison to the Tower aesthetically and then put in a few Brains and have them mention that they are planning on building their own Facility. It's more than just copy pasting.

They've been adding new challenges modes late-gen since Crystal, and the Frontiers and World Tours of the world were JUST as super duper tedious to make and underappreciated last decade as they would be now- and they made them anyway. It's not even the Battle Frontier specifically, I just want ANY kind of interesting challenge for a competitive team that isn't a plain jane Battle Tower clone.

I don't care about the justification, I don't care that it wasn't in the game. I care that they waved the fact that it wasn't there in my fucking face multiple times. They had to have known it would upset longtime fans and kids wouldn't have gotten the references so why do it?

I never even did much with the Battle Frontier since I only liked a couple of the facilities, but I'm still mad since newer games shouldn't have LESS content than older titles. And having ONLY the Maison/tree has been fucking boring.

Besides, most people didn't know the Battle Frontier wasn't there until they got the games.
And as always: selling well doesn't mean it's good. Just look at Fifa sales.
