Never understood this criticism, it's one of the most content filled open world games out there. There's always something to explore, fight, solve or interact with.
Is it just because there are areas like Central Hyrule or Lanayru Highlands that are sprawling fields? Those are the only areas I can think of that overall are pretty empty.

Don’t put words in my mouth, it’s just that every generation since 5 has been slightly more and more disappointing in some regard, so the fact that it’s not graphically superior to an N64 game doesn’t phase me, since I know it’ll have no effect on the gameplay, which looks decent
