A reminder that GSC postgame doesn't start until after you beat Red.
Kanto is part of the main game, you're still going through the fucking main story. That's why you get credits after you beat Red.

Beating Red isn't apart of the main story. Becoming the Champion is the conclusion of the "main" story, after which credits roll.

Beating Red is the completion of the game at large.

No, the post game is Kanto. The endgame of red and blue along with the majority of all main line pokemon games is the elite four+champion.

You would be right if you fought the elite four+champion after Kanto or fought a second batch of elite four. But it's clear that Johto and Kanto share the same elite+champion. So everything afterwards is post game content since by then you already have your mc and pokemon team as winners.
