It has a unique ability that boosts its attack, yet its base special attack is already ~50% higher than its base attack. This is absurd. And there are countless examples of these nonsensical shitmons that need to be reworked not only stat wise, but mechanically.
So this is the PERFECT opportunity to fix these guys, including all those who still suffer from the gen 3 split. But it just takes time.
Mark my words, the "cull" was well thought-out. All Pokemon will not only be playable in the next games, but also fairly balanced.
