I never played USUM because I'm not a moron, but it's so weird to me that... alien humanoids from another dimension are a canonical part of Pokemon.
And even further on top of this, these alien humanoids weren't even the main focus on the game, they just kinda casually mention them at the very end of the game and give them some hallways.

I also genuinely like the designs despite hating USUM.
I also like the idea of the Ultra Dimension having its own weird pokemon trainers and stuff like poiple being that dimension's equivalent of a starter.
It's a shame this idea was wasted on a game I will literally never play because there's almost no way they're gonna ever bring this plot point back again.

What makes it especially disappointing is it would have been the perfect opportunity to do the "game with all the regions" meme that gets brought up from time to time. Imagine if instead of going to soulless ultra space wilds all the legendaries were in small, self contained parts of their home regions. A wormhole takes you to the powerplant for zapdos. A wormhole takes you to the spear pillar for dialga. It'd have been a little more work (but not much; they could have kept the areas small) and it would have added a lot more flavor.

It looks like the head of a child on an overly buffed man.
But then he also has these tiny feet, which can't even fill out his shoes.
I'm getting a sporty vibe, but then he wears a large sun hat, like some lady going to the beach.

This has got to be one of the worst designs in Pokemon history...
