It was okay. Just went way too fast, the mid portion of the movie felt like a kid with ADHD on a sugar-high wrote it, they were zip-zapping around to different shit every 10 minutes.
The actual representation of the entire franchise rather than just solely Kanto, real life yet still cartoony designs of the Pokemon, and overall message of the movie was pretty good.
I'd like to see more attempts at live action Pokemon movies as long as the makers of said movies respect and love the franchise as much as you could tell the Detective Pikachu people did.
