Real animals exist (MCs are too autistic to notice them, along with many other elements of the Pokemon world) and are the primary prey of pokemon, but pokemon will also each other if the opportunity arises.
The existence of normal animals is also why eating pokemon is often considered taboo or an act of desperation for humans.

More than enough to prove they're a thing.
Reminder that tons of secondary things not seen in the games (toilets, politicians, sex, highways...etc) still canonically exist in the pokemon world, despite not being shown due to focus not being on them

There are a huge number of Pokedex entries that talk about Pokemon hunting and killing each other, even OUTSIDE the Pokedex NPCs mention things like how Dhelmise hunts other Pokemon or how the official Pokemon website talked at length at how Pallossand creates sand whirlpools to suck in pray and drain their life force.

Isn't it canon that the reason Farfetch'd and Lapras are so rare is because they've been overhunted? Humans kill Pokemon so it's not out of the question they eat them too. I think in SM there's a cafe that has the Wishiwashi special, or something like that.

I think in one of the newer games too its said that while trying to raise the Lapras population they ended up increasing the population too luch and now need to lower it.

For all we know, it may all be bullshit, like 70% of dex entries.

Anyway, Pokemon eating is another of the countless inconsistencies in that universe.
Creatures as intelligent as humans being eating by humans?
Pokemon that eat each others breeding together? Pokemon that eat each others being in the same team?

Yeah almost like they can't get away with showing Pokemon getting vored in an E rated game. Things like Mareanie showing up to eat Corsola followed by NPCs mentioning how much of a danger Toxapex are to Corsola is more than enough proof that Pokemon eat each other, as that's as close to a confirmation as they can reasonably get.
You can't just write off every single Pokedex entry as bullshit when a huge number of them are based off of direct observations. You also glossed over the part where the actual Pokemon website confirmed Palossand kills and eats other Pokemon.

How can it be bullshit? It's already a fictional world, everything that didn't happen isn't neither true nor false

We're going to do some kind of cooking thing with our Pokemon in S/S, likely at the campsite as the games new Amie/Refresh.
So far the ingredients we've seen are potatoes and roots. I really wonder if they'd give us any kind of meat. Maybe just call it "Meat" and not go into detail on where it comes from? Or will every ingredient shop in Galar just sell every ingredient besides meat?
