DPP has jack shit and we all know it, you even had to list two Kantomons.
Gen 1 was easily the worst offender, Nidoran is one of a million other Poison types, and Pikachu is literally on 2/3 of every Kanto team ever created. Team diversity at an all time low, although that’s to be expected from the smallest batch of Pokémon ever.
>>39240260I was going to mention XY because while this is true, you have to keep in mind that literally half the game happens before the second gym. The pacing is super weird in XY and it feels unfair to call EVERYTHING before the second gym “early game” in the same sense as any other Gen, it’s just so fucking long
