Why hold Pokemon to a lower standard than other games? I've played a lot of Pokemon already, and since this game offers few changes (let alone improvements) over past installments, buying it would be a waste of my time and money. What's the problem here?

Alright, I know this is bait but there's guaranteed to be at LEAST one mongrel who genuinely feels the way OP does, so let me explain what the fucking problem is.
The problem isn't that it looks bad compared to ALL games, it's that it looks bad EVEN COMPARED TO OTHER POKEMON GAMES
I, like many others, would be perfectly fine with the lack of National Dex if it meant the rest of the game got better, so I won't even talk about that shit because it doesn't bother me much.
What DOES bother me is that you have trees looking worse than Ocarina of Time trees, animations that just reverse the Pokemon's idling one for half a second, you have wingulls fucking LEVITATING, floating blocks, pisspoor texturework, shit lazy Pokemon designs, and MUCH MORE
