a completely new console on GameFreak's first outing is fine. We couldn't transfer over Pokemon because of supposed limitations and I was fine with that because GameFreak made up for it by having an absolutely out-fucking-standing Regional Dex with one of the biggest regions they've made thus far.
They have had 6 years to improve.

How does it feel that if this keeps up, the only Pokemon game in the future that will have every Pokemon available for use is Pokemon GO, a literal mobile phone game. How does it feel knowing that if this is the future, GameFreak will eternally be made fun of that Niantic is able to fit every single Pokemon on mobile devices while the Switch, something that's supposed to be a VIDEO GAME CONSOLE, cannot achieve.
How does it eternally feel that eventually, some madlad is going to hack every single Pokemon back into Sword and Shield, because you know they're going to fucking do it.
How does it feel knowing that Pokemon LGPE actually has all the information needed in the game for every single Pokemon, every single move, and every single item in the game in it's files? How does it feel knowing that eventually someone's going to extract all the models from the games and the only thing that'll be new on the older Pokemon are the textures, and the models are the exact same from XY with incredibly minor touchups if any?
You can defend GameFreak as much as you want, but if you're going to be a fucking idiot about it, don't be surprised if you get called out for it.
