So let’s say the worse case scenario happens with SwSh and not only do they release without a full roster, but are never updated. Do you think we will ever get a Pokémon game in the fire with everyone on it? Or are we in a damned universe where the only sort of things to have all Pokémon on them, be games like GO or other crap like that

Not for me, outside of the N64 trees I always thought that this looked good for Pokémon, since I never expected gf to do more than that. SwoShi is the best looking mainline Pokemon game, but still meh when compared to other franchises
I didn't mind dynamax, but removing even one mon out of laziness or incompetence is not okay

They decided to cut Pokemon and make it their policy from now on because there are too many.
It wasn't because of time constraints or because they are lazy, etc

It's because there are too fucking much Pokemon now.
It's their game design decision to not have them all anymore, yet retards here keep thinking it's because they're lazy or that they don't care.

They made the decision because balancing 1000+ creatures is fucking exhausting.

They couldn't keep adding shit forever. Did you expect games to have all 1500 Pokemon eventually? 2000, 2500, etc?

The cut had to be done at some point, and in future games, there will also be a different selection of mons that will and won't make it in.

This is how things are going to be now. Either deal with it or stop playing these games.

people wanted this for a long time.
there are enough monsters in the games, you could just design new titles to focus on new locations and challenges to keep it fresh.
No one played GX and complained there wasn't any new Pokemon outside what was in Ruby and Sapphire, they made a game that was unique and interesting on its own merit.
If they just reused their existing Pokemon and poured their dev time into making the game itself fun we'd be much better off.

But this is what they did for the LGPE mons, and for the models + animations of the other mons
At this point the only thing they have to do in order to have all mons in the game, is to waifu2x the 3ds textures and release a free hd pack later in the year

Why can't they just remove the natdex, but let people transfer all of their old mons like in the game like usum did?

You think they can't just recycle all their shit from 3DS games and put it in SS?
They can. They could add all Pokemon if they wanted to, but they don't WANT to.
Like I said, it's the game design choice to not bloat the games with a myriad of Pokemon.
It's a far more complicated issue than you think. It's not as easy as "oh just add them all but have a regional dex selection like SM"

It's not complicated at all, just let people import their mons but ban mons born outside of the galar dex in VGC
The galar dex isn't going to have more than 500 mons
Pokémon BW2 had 649 mons, XY had 700ish mons and USUM had 800ish of them, yet they didn't feel like the game was bloated at all at the time

Balancing the dex and focusing too much on only Pokemon takes away a lot of dev time that could be put somewhere
They want to use this new method because handling 1000+ Pokemon every game is fairly time consuming and makes other parts of it feel lacking. And having more and more Pokemon to add up to the pile in the future would just make it worse.

Imagine Sword and Shield has 600 Pokémon, and then Diamond and Pearl Remakes come out and have 600 Pokémon too. There's an overlap of 100 Pokémon.

Those 100 Pokémon that are in both versions are going to be balanced against the 500 Pokémon that appear only in Sword and Shield AND against the 500 Pokémon that appear in only Diamond and Pearl. That's their excuse, that they are doing the culling because of balance.

If they've bothered to balance those overlapping Pokémon (or the Pokémon that were left out of Sword and Shield that are now present in Diamond and Pearl), why can't they work all together? Do you seriously think they are going to work SO MUCH in balancing things that they would be incompatible between a version and the next?

That might work the TCG (in fact, it's exactly what the TCG does), but GameFreak has a record of touching a whooping 10 points in the BST of a shitmon and pretend it's fixed.

No and it’s because pokemon home is coming. Why pay for a monthly service when you can keep your pokemon on one game cart? They could just pay for one month,transfer them all into one game, wait for the next game, pay that service again for a month and rinse and repeat. You could keep all pokemon in their respective games but I doubt too many have confidence all their games and saves will be safe.

It's not as easy as making a new game and taking a chunk of SwSh Pokemon there and add more, and then take a chunk of that game's dex and work with other new ones.
They simply don't want to work with 1000+ Pokemon every game. Balances change with each game, it's not just copy pasting the Pokemon to the new game and be done with it.

That's simply how their games will be developed from now on. With a limited number of Pokemon. It's not because they're lazy or because they can't have all Pokemon.

all gamefreak had to do was contract a team of 10 or so guys to code in and create animations for the pokemon. imagine being the most successful media franchise of all time and not spending 5 million or so to properly develop your games. balancing problems are complete excuse. they didn't have enough people working on s/s and instead of spending a reasonable amount of money to contract out developers for a year or two they shit all over the fans.
