Im replaying red and its not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I mean its dated and lacks some quality of life improvements but im still having a lot of fun

More like limitations beget creativity which begets goodness and old has more limits.

When you boost your limits but aren't willing to put in the work required to meet them that's bad.

Essentially, most modern tech does nothing but show what hacks the big names are because instead of just making something great, they pander to the limits but never actually meet any of them except maybe resolution and frame rate which are not of major importance if your game is shit.
