I have a suggestion.
We make our own games, compatible with programs like PKHex that have access to our 3ds games' save data.
We put quality into those, instead of wasting our time on GameFreak.
And we better make this low profile, lest we get a C&D up our asses.

I feel like this is a design choice. A game presenting itself with narrow corridors isn't always bad, if it has interesting things to do, something GF never has taken advantage of except the same push rock puzzle in like, 9 of their games.

900+, I can't really blame them, I mean, MonHunWorld reused animations like a mother fucker and they didn't even have 30 monsters.

I think it's also a design choice, but there are things like BotW that can mask a lot. BotW isn't all the great but Nintendo hid a lot of stuff with grass, fog and shaders, something GF isn't taking advantage of.

I think the idea was that the Amie mini-games were what replaced the game corner. The puzzle, feeder and bouncing yarn mini-games. Super Training was also a sort of mini-game so that's a bit unfair. The Plaza in gen 7 also has sort of mini-games. I think it's unfair to say they didn't bring mini-games into the series once the Game Corner couldn't be a thing. They're not great mini-games, but on par with what the game corner did have to offer.

No it's not, because like all modern RPG developers gamefreak doesn't know how to increase difficulty outside of a global multiplier or a global level increase.

BW2's challenge mode just made every trainer's pokemon 2 levels higher and gave all the gym leaders one additional pokemon. On paper this looks like it should make the game harder but in practice the game is pretty much exactly the same early game and easier mid to endgame.

Gym leaders had different movesets and at some point every team member gets a hold item for boss fights. I usually wall Burgh with Whirlipede but in challenge mode I was surprised to see he put it to sleep with grasswhistle and then hit it with aerial ace.

Could have been better but it wasn't as bad as you say it was.

That's not an apt comparison. The gameplay and story of Mario Sunshine revolves around Fludd and would be completely out of place in a Mario game without plenty of water and pollution. The Battle Frontier just makes use of Pokemon in a challenging way. It makes sense and fits in every Pokemon game.

that's not even remotely the same thing. BF is hours worth of replayable content that's missing. Fludd is just a mechanic that the levels in that specific game are designed around.

I know contests and bases are in all likelihood gone, but do we know for a fact that all of these are true? I don't doubt GF's laziness and ineptitude, but were things like mini games actually confirmed gone?
