First off, the first two DLC waves coming in July and August are the only ones that are free. They are releasing a “free” update that is only available if you preordered the game or if you bought the July issue of CoroCoro.
Second, new and old Yokai will be made available in the update in August, including a new boss. Some Yokai that weren’t previously available to befriend in the maingame before the update will now be able to, like Enma, which was a retarded idea to begin with.
Finally the “gradual free updates” are false. The multiplayer mode DLC is paid, the rest of the Yokai being released in 2019 is paid, and more updates will be paid. So basically, the exact same shit they did with Ni No Kuni 2, which the Japanese fanbase hated because of how fucking short it was. So in reality they cut story content to add as DLC later. Based Level-5 amirite?
