Brainlet here. The system was broken before. Not showing the type of a pokemon during a battle is pretty ridiculous. Same for abilities and other stats. It makes it all a guessing game. I know most of the types of pokemon but I always screw up a few matchups. The attacks showing which is more effective doesn't hurt anybody. If you know it you don't need it and if you don't know it it helps you learn them. It also doesn't mean you have to use that attack or if that is the best attack. It's just a simple guide.

If they bring it back great, if they don't great. It really doesn't matter. The outrage over it is great though. Can't wait to see it show up on the negatives when they talk about gen 7.

playing lets go pikachu and eevee just made me realize how much i miss that. when the game just blatantly tells you what is super effective every time a lot of the charm and fun of battles is gone. the ability to want to learn and improve your knowledge of enemy pokemon is gone.

fuck its like you retards defending this shit know NOTHING about basic game design

Sun and Moon didn't display effectiveness unless you'd already encountered the pokemon at least once, it doesn't display for your first fight with a given Pokemon.
