Oh brother. Look someone didn’t like masuda after nat dex so he made a juvenile comedic rape story as per usual a 4chan browser does. It was a minor joke game freak loyalists blew up just because. If you don't like the direction just don't buy it, if you like the game just buy it, if you like the game but hate the company just get a rom or buy a used copy. GF and TCP don't care about social media outrage. They know people would buy the game anyway. They did a similar thing with the national dex on RSE and they still sold about 15-20 million copies

I highly doubt that they're going to add any more Pokemon at launch than the ones that they originally planned. I could see them doing something to add some more post release (but not every mon).
Ideally they'd make expansions to gen8 instead of "Pokemon Gun" or gen4 remakes that add new areas, old Pokemon and a few dozen new ones.

As much as people like to shit on "games as a service" for being shit, Pokemon is one series that would actually work with constant content updates and paid DLC instead of a yearly release.
