All of the pokemon. I loved having just the gen 5 pokemon throughout the entire main story.

>Other features cut for no reason whatsoever

If you only count BW2, then also consider the following:
>Natdex is back in its full glory
>Hugh somewhat mitigates the friendly rival con
>Join Avenue greatly reduces friendship and EV micromanagement and also brings back berries and (to a point) secret bases
>Pokestar Studios and the PWT are fun filler content and especially great if you're into Battle Frontier-type facilities

But they didn't do this at all?
You can still catch old pokemon in the post game and every single one is programmed into the games. It makes sense gameplay-wise(there being 156 new mons to use) and story-wise because Unova is so seperate from the other regions

BW Pros-
N is a good rival
Good twist on the elite four
Fast battles
Battles having dynamic music
Gym leaders have a role in the story besides just standing around in their gyms
Polished the previous gen instead of just adding one new gimmick like new gens
BW Cons-
Final villain is lame, underdeveloped, and one dimensional, with only a cartoonish thirst for power as his motivation
Rotation battles are forgettable
Dream world sucks and is unusable after the online service went down
Post game kind of sucks, just the battle tower; but this time it’s a subway.
BW2 improves the postgame. Although Ghetsis is given even more screen time he is just as lame as he was in the first game except this time he makes half of Team Plasma less interesting as well.

probably the best soundtrack in pokemon, or at least tied with gen 1 soundtrack. the sprites had personality. the map was good and colorful. hilda.

Pros:
- Fast AF, especially in battle (do you remember DP? I do)
- Decent difficulty level
- HM are no longer necessary to continue the story (DO YOU REMEMBER DP?)
- A lot of personality, also thanks to using only new mons during the main story
- Regional Dex is THE BEST
- Top tier soundtrack
- Memorable characters, I loved meeting gym leaders outside their gyms
- Postgames keep you busy for ages
- Excadrill and Volcarona exist
- Online minigames were fun...

Cons:
- ... But no longer available
- Bottom screen is useless
- League Champion is underwhelming (only in BW, B2W2 make you regret being alive and it's fucking good)

Best generation? Best generation.
